How to set up e-mail sending/receiving via UserGate?

To enable e-mail sending/receiving via UserGate, you should activate the predefined SMTP and POP3 NAT rules. To do this, go to the "Network Settings" tab in the Administrator module and choose the "NAT" section. Then follow these steps: On the "Network Settings" tab, check mark the “Enable NAT” checkbox.

Then go to NAT tab Here you can specify whether rules you want to edit.
Specify the receiving and destination interfaces from 'POP3' and 'SMTP' rules.

Then go to 'Users and Groups' tab, Select the groups or users that are eligible to use e-mail.

Also, be sure that DNS is set up properly. See next question.

Proper Connections with UserGate Proxy Server

The new version of UserGate Proxy Server comes with its own built-in firewall and an improved administration client. The firewall provides the additional security of an Internet gateway due to its capability of blocking traffic of either IP protocol (TCP and/or UDP) through specific ports.
